Cassiobury Park playground (18/10/16)

We’ve been many times, but thought it useful to post a few pics of the larger playground at the bottom of Cassiobury Park if you’re thinking of making the trek: it’s quite a walk with young kids if you’re entering at the top of the park (town end), though there is a car park on Gade Avenue (much closer) if you’re driving.

The playground with the development of the new pavilion and paddling pools (open summer 2017) behind.

The play area was refurbished to commemorate the centenary of the park a few years back, and there’s a great range of equipment for younger and older kids, including a long zip wire.

The smaller slide and climbing frame: great for toddlers, but beware the vertical drops.

Our toddler loves the smaller climbing frame (above), but be careful when supervising as it has a couple of steep drops.

The swings, including a couple of deep-seated parent and child ones.

The trampoline.

Our little one loved the sandpit, but this has now been closed after opening for the summer.

The sandpit: only open in summer!

Rumour has it that the fire engine that was removed from the old playground behind Café Cha might be making a re-appearance at this end of the park – watch this space!
